      Description

The Nebula NGC 2467, also known as the "Skull Nebula," is a star-forming region located in the Puppis constellation. Situated approximately 13,000 light-years from Earth, this nebula features a mix of gas, cosmic dust, and young stars. Its peculiar skull-like appearance is due to the intense radiation from the newly formed stars, which ionizes the surrounding gas, causing it to glow spectacularly. The NGC 2467 Nebula is notable for its dark dust pillars and an active star-forming region.
