Description

First time trying to capture and process a comet and I learned some valuable lessons that I can hopefully apply to a future project. This one was iffy and I almost didn't finish it. The comet was captured over three nights, and the background M10 field over 2 nights. They were processed separately and them combined to match actual positioning as shown by Stellarium. I did capture some of the two together in the same frame, but not in the specific positioning shown.

The signal to noise on the comet data was very low and I found it hard to keep any of the tail while still subtracting the background. Hopefully I can do a little better job next time.
