Description

IC 2118 / NGC 1909 is an extremely faint reflection nebula believed to be an ancient supernova remnant or gas cloud illuminated by nearby supergiant star Rigel in the constellation of Orion. The nebula lies in the Eridanus Constellation, about 900 light-years from Earth. Image was taken with the Askar FRA500 with the Askar 0.7 Reducer yielding an F/3.5, 350mm imaging scope.
