Description

Gary Imm has been shooting some amazing dark nebula shots so I decided to toss my hat into the ring and see what I could conjure up. The Seahorse Nebula was ideally positioned for my backyard so I pointed the Evostar 80 and managed to collect 3 nights of data. The skies were reasonably clear but the Arizona heat wave is so extreme that I might need to shoot another set of dark frames at +5 C. The 294MM was pushing it to reach the 0C setpoint which hasn't been an issue the past couple of summers. The nighttime temps are still over 100F when astronomical darkness starts which is pretty toasty even for here.
