Using some previous data, tried to process just this closely cropped area of the Eagle Nebula.
Removed the stars and first worked with the nebula.
Tried a new method of first extracting the brighter stars from the fit file and then subtracting them from the medium bright stars.
To then have a combined image of the stars. The intent was to bring out the medium stars without blowing out the bright stars.
At first the medium stars were still a little washed out, so I processed them further to brighten them up as well as used StarSpikes Pro 4 within Photoshop.
In any case the final image has far fewer stars so as to emphasize the nebula.
Would of course require a lot more integration time to bring out more detail in the nebula, but as always it is a never ending learning curve.
About two hours of 5 second subs using an asi294mc pro on a C11
