Description

First time setting the 8" EdgeHD up at its native resolution, without the Celestron 0.8x reducer.

I used the 5nm ALP-T dual Ha/[OIII], so I needed longer exposures. This integrates 36 x 10 min exposures.

Incidentally, without polar alignment, since I thought I was just out for a night of testing and figured I'd be messing with back focus. But this guide here was _perfect_, the back focus looked 100% spot on at the first try, and my guiding looked good, so my testing session became an imaging session. Win!

Technically, this is not f/10 (as advertised for simplicity) but f/10.456, so the focal length should be 2125 mm. The ASIAIR plate solved around 2100mm, so we're within a couple of percent.

Next test will get [SII]/Hb, and work to combine into 4-color.
