This is my third take on this target, but the first with the 140PH. Very happy with this rendition. I knew I could get more of the Hydrogen gas this time with narrowband filters, but was very happy to also see some detailed dust clouds as well.

I've learned so much about stacking and processing since I did my first & second passes at M33. The first one I was just learning with a DSLR and a star tracker and had under an hour of data. Once I got the CEM70 I started shooting longer subs and got up to 4 hours of data, which I thought was a lot. Now a little over a year later I've got my setup scheduled to capture data almost every full night and struggle to find the time to process it all. This take is 22 hours (out of 25 hours shot), which I started shooting back in December and captured the last few subs in mid-Feburary.

Stacking in Siril (weighted FWHM), followed by gradient removal, color calibration, and compositing. Further editing in Photoshop, including cropping, Topaz Denoise, Shadow/Highlights (HDR), and camera raw filter.

Views by Submitters (available since September 19th, 2023) Every image is assigned to 50% of available Submitters. In the event that at least 80% of them don't view the image before its time in the IOTD/TP process expires, it's assigned to the other 50% of Submitters and the process begins anew.
Promotions by Submitters When 3 distinct Submitters promote the image, it moves on to the next stage of the process: evaluation for Top Pick status. This requirement, in addition to anonymization of images and distribution to only a subset of them, prevents biases and ensures that the best images are selected.
Promotions by Reviewers When 3 distinct Reviewers promote the image, it moves on to the next stage of the process: evaluation for IOTD status.
Early dismissal Staff members have a lot of images to inspect on a daily basis, and they can dismiss images if they believe they don't meet the requirements for IOTD/TP selection. If an image is dismissed 5 times, it's removed from the process. This streamlines the process and ensures that any bias present in promotions could be overruled by other staff members.
