Description

My last attempt to capture Sirius B.  I had to first "center" Sirius A in my Celestron C8 Orange tube and then take out my ASI183MM camera and place a Powermate 5.0× in the middle of the image train.  This is the result of stacking one thousand 3ms frames.  I thought at first that the dim point of light in the glare of Sirius A might have been another star, but then I did the pixel resolution calculations (0.048 arcseconds per pixel) and measured the number of pixels from the dot and the approximate center of Sirius A (~270 pixels).  It turned out to be 13 arcseconds and according to SkySafari, the angular distance from Sirius A to Sirius B is 11 arcseconds.

So, mission accomplished
