Description

This Astrobin Debut Object is a  spiral galaxy located 260 million light years away in the constellation of Aquila at a declination of -2 degrees..  It is slightly disturbed, with the top arm extending much further than the bottom.  The galaxy is 80,000 light years in diameter.

An interesting bright fuzzy region is seen to the right of the core.  The disturbance of the disk suggests that a companion dwarf galaxy is a possibility, but I could find no data on this companion or even on the main galaxy itself.
