Description

The Tadpole Nebula is a "stellar nursery" at about 12000 lightyears from us. A cluster of stars is born from collapsing clouds of gas and dust. The strong radiation of newborn stars strips away the remaining dust and gas of other embryo stars, resulting in two tadpoles.

Due to the near-full moon, I decided to shoot the object in Ha. I usually bin my images 2x2. However, since the seeing was excellent, I decided to go for 1x1 (giving a pixel scale of 0.96"/px). The image was then drizzled (2x).
