Description

The data for this HOO image are from Telescope live (https://telescope.live/home).  It consists of 3.8 hours of RGB, 1.3 hours each of Sii and Ha, and 6 hours of Oiii.  The system consisted of a Takahashi FSQ-106EDX4 at f/3.6 equipped with a FLI PL16083 camera, bin 1.  The squid is such a dim object that it was difficult to show it adequately, but Bill Blanshan's Narrowband Normalization script helped intensify the Oiii emissions significantly.  The RGB data were not used since the bright star on the right side of the image had a very large halo.  The stars used in this image were produced from the SHO data using the method described in this video (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YMvgfmPkn-g&t=860s).  Most of the processing was done in Pixinsight with minor adjustments made in Photoshop.  GraXpert 3 was used for both background extraction and noise suppression.  The image was reduced in size by 50% due to noise.  This is my first version, hopefully a better one will follow.
