Description

Certainly not much to see(some sources say 10.9magnitude) and presently in the morning sky, for about an hour prior to twilight.  The  23 x 90sec subs were taken as the comet slid past +15.80 mag planetary nebula ARO 87.  The PN has an interesting structure with two lobes opposite the central condensation(See full resolution) and is reportedly 0.7 ' in diameter.

I actually wasn't going to stack this comet image after viewing its faintness in the subs, however Karl Antier from the French magazine Astrosurf, asked if I had a completed version.  He is doing an article of a potential meteor shower being caused by 15P/ this fall.

So here it is.
Comet 15P/ Finlay as it traveled past a Planetary nebula in Taurus as it travels around the sun in its 6.56 year orbit.
