Description

I am pleased to introduce you all to a new discovery, Falls 1! This is a beautiful circular Oiii emission nebula in the constellation Puppis. I found out just now that 'Puppis' translates to 'poop deck'. There is a lot going on in Puppis, there are tons of swirling clouds of hydrogen-alpha, and planetary nebulae all over the place. I recommend checking out @Andy 01 's image to get an idea of how cool Puppis is: https://www.astrobin.com/43su2t/B/?q=

This object I noticed embedded within a Ha cloud. This thing is oddly bright, it even shows up in my RGB data, as well as the DSS2 survey, albeit faintly: blue 15' x 15'.jpg
I can only assume it has gone unnoticed in part because of the Ha cloud it is embedded within. I chose to leave it out of the final image because it was distracting to the blue color of the nebula.
Anyways at the heart of the object is a nice hot subdwarf star: http://simbad.u-strasbg.fr/simbad/sim-id?Ident=Gaia%20EDR3%205602859746161366016&NbIdent=1
Seemingly this is a commonality with many of these Oiii objects.

Whether or not this is a 'true' planetary nebula is yet to be seen, but I think it is unlikely. Because of its morphology, its catalogue naming is in line of a planetary nebula.

I named this nebula after the sci-fi novel 'Dune'. The eyes of the inhabitants of the planet Arrakis are colored blue due to their prolonged exposure to spice, the chemical which makes interstellar travel possible.

And a thanks to @DanaPatchick @Marcel Drechsler for helping with the analysis of this, and thanks to Pascal Le Du for the registration
