Description

M42 Running Man Ha LRGB March 2024 9Hrs 21mins

Captured February-March, 2024
Total Exposure Time: 9 Hours, 21 minutes LRGB + Ha

Still getting the new cam dialed in, thought I'd try an old favourite to be safe.

With previous attempts blowing out the core and the Trapezium https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Trapezium_Cluster , this time around I decided to stick with 60 second exposures, rather than attempt any layering in post-processing. Gave up some faint fuzzies, but at least still conserved the core of the Orion Nebula.

Sub-Frames:
Luminance Filter - 180 X 60 seconds
Red Filter - 80 X 60 seconds
Blue Filter - 80 X 60 seconds
Green Filter - 80 X 60 seconds
Ha Filter - 47 X 180 seconds

30 Dark Frames @ 180 sec, 30 Dark Frames @ 60 sec
100 Flat Frames, 100 Dark Flat Frames
