Description

The Horsehead Nebula (Barnard 33) and the Flame Nebula (NGC 2024) are two emission nebulae located in the constellation Orion. The Horsehead Nebula is a dark region of gas and dust that obscures starlight, taking on the distinctive shape of a horse's head. In contrast, the Flame Nebula is an emission region composed of ionized gas, primarily hydrogen, illuminated by young and massive stars in the process of formation. Both nebulae are notable for their beauty and complexity, providing fascinating points for astronomical observation in the constellation Orion.
