Description

M13 is a globular cluster in the constellation of Hercules, about 25,000 ly from us, with an apparent magnitude of 5.8, it is visible to the naked eye in ideally dark skies, appearing at about 1/3 from eta Her to Zeta Her. The cluster contains at least 100k stars. The dataset was acquired by @blackrig , totalling a little over 4 hours of exposure, which is quite deep when imaging star clusters, leading to very decent resolution of single stars within the cluster.
