Description

Sh2-114, also called the Flying Dragon Nebula, is a very little studied cloud beyond its mere cataloging, with a filamentary appearance and apparently formed by several superimposed arched filaments; it is shaped like a semicircle with the concavity facing south and appears to form, together with the nearby cloud Sh2-113 on the left of the image, a bubble structure similar to a supernova remnant. However, supernova remnants have never been described in this region.
