Description

I've been enjoying this hobby since 2019, and it still amazes me that I can see details on a planet 370 million miles away with a simple amateur telescope. Ok, it's 10 times the diameter of Earth, but still!

This image was captured 3 weeks before the November 3, opposition. Nice and high in the sky at 60 degrees.  My best image of this great gas giant so far.   This is a WINJUPOS derotation of 12 consecutive 90 second videos, from a total of 52 videos. So, 18 minutes total,  taken over 20 minute timespan - includes occasional refocussing  between videos. 50% of each video stacked in Autostakkert. So a total of 54,000 frames stacked for this image.
