      Description

The Perseus Cluster, is a massive galaxy cluster that plays a significant role in the Pisces-Perseus Supercluster. This Supercluster is one of the largest known structures in the universe, comprising over 1,000 galaxies.

The Perseus Cluster itself contains about 190 galaxies, with NGC 1275 being a notable member. NGC 1275, also known as Perseus A, is an intriguing galaxy sitting near the center of the Perseus Cluster. This galaxy is particularly known for its active galactic nucleus, which is a supermassive black hole at its center. This black hole is responsible for some spectacular astronomical phenomena, including the emission of strong radio waves and the formation of extensive jets and lobes of emitting material.
