Description

This nearby spiral galaxy is lit up with an abundance of concentrated hydrogen alpha regions where new stars are forming. To capture these glowing reddish areas, I used my SkyWatcher Esprit 150ED and a ZWO ASI2600MM Pro camera with a 6nm Hydrogen Alpha filter to accumulate 11.4 hours of clean data using 12 minute exposures. The RGB channels of the galaxy were captured using my Edge HD8 at native focal length and my ASI294MC Pro camera. 10.3 hours of RGB data (180 second exposures) were captured using the OSC camera, for a total of 21.7 hours for this image. I also used the ASIAIR Plus, EAF, and ASI174MM mini guide cam with a Celestron OAG.
