Description

The Eastern Veil nebula, a smaller part of the overall massive Veil Nebula, is the supernova remnant from a star 20 times more massive than our sun, which exploded between 10,000 and 20,000 years ago. Located around 2400 light years away, this beautiful nebula dances in the sky with reds and blues. I personally call this nebula "The Joker Nebula" after it's resemblance to the villain from the 90s animated Batman TV show I loved as a kid. This was taken in my Bortle 9 backyard in downtown Atlanta, Georgia over the course of 5 nights in October of 2022
