      Description

Spiral galaxy M33 is located in the triangle-shaped constellation Triangulum, earning it the nickname the Triangulum galaxy. About half the size of our Milky Way galaxy, M33 is the third-largest member of our Local Group of galaxies following the Andromeda galaxy (M31) and the Milky Way. (Written by NASA)

Years before I purchased my WORC12, I was deeply shocked by the beauty of M33 captured by Ray @Ray Liao . The beauty of tiny blue stars sparking on arms and Ha nebula are beyond word, like roses blossoming on a sea of crystal. I guess it was on that very night that I decided to buy a RC telescope and capture more gorgeous galaxies like Ray once did.

Today, I am happy to present this pic of M33 as a result of a collaboration between Chen Wang and me. Together we collected more than 91.5 hrs of exposure in 489 frames over a period of about 3 months (Oct to Dec, 2023) using Wang's Sky Watcher 10'' F4.8 NT and my William Optics 12'' F6.4 RCT.

Revision A is a combination of LRGBHO data, revealing the dense H-α region on her arms and O-iii region within her(shown in blue or green nebula). Revision B is simply LRGB .

The image consists of the following data taken by Wang and me:
      L 159 x 600s = 26.5h
      R 70 x 600s = 11h
      G 70 x 600s = 11h
      B 70 x 600s = 11h
      Ha 60x 900s +12x 600s= 17 h
      OIII 60 x 900s = 15h
      Overall: 489 frames, 91.5 h.

Special thanks to:  Grapeot, who kindly shared his briliant method of adding stretched Ha data to LRGB using Photoshop. He has uploaded tutorial on YouTube and Bilibili.

Hope that you enjoy this image!
