Description

I imaged AR 3354, the largest sunspot in several years, on June 29,2023 from the 9200' elevation of the Mauna Kea Visitor Information Station.  Using a dual-rig setup, I was able to capture AR 3354 in both white light as well as hydrogen alpha.  I used a StellarVue 80mm with a Baader AstroSolar film solar filter for the white light view.  Hydrogen alpha was captured with a Lunt LS80THa dedicated solar telescope.  The camera was a ZWO ASI174MM model attached to a Coronado Cemax 2x barlow.
