Description

IC 10 is an irregular dwarf starburst galaxy in the constellation Cassiopeia. Located about 2.2ML'y away, it has a diameter of approximately 5000 L'ys. It is approaching us with a velocity of 350 km/s. IC 10 has a large population of newly formed massive and bright stars including an X-ray binary system that contains a black hole. The red filaments are active Ha regions.
