Description

After high days of work, i've finally completed the Color-Magnitude diagram for about 350 stars (calibrated and standardized) of NGC 7790. The data was acquired a month ago with my SX-694 and BVR Baader Photometric filters.

Color-Magnitude diagram it's like an instrumental HR diagram with mag V and B-V instead of Luminosity and Spectral Class. The magnitudes need to be corrected with several parameters, Air Mass, Extinction and Transformation Coefficients, it's a long procedure and it's very important in order to obtain good measures

With my data and parallax from GAIA DR2, i've extimated the stellar radius, used as circle size on the diagram, and the surface temperature, used as circle color.

In this cluster there are many giants and sub-giants stars with a concentration of Sun-like stars that remark the main sequence from the HR diagram.

One of the most beatiful ascpect of this passion, in my opinion, is to understand objects, like star clusters, only by measuring the light that traveled huge distances across interstellar matter, molecolar clouds, dust and, at last, our pale blue dot.
