Description

Located in Orion not far from the IC 2118 (the Witch Head Nebula), NGC 1788 is a reflection nebula that includes the dark nebula Lynds 1616 along the right border in this orientation. Also known as the cosmic bat, I thought it also suggested the symbol π in this particular orientation. I processed the original drizzled version then the revised undrizzled version similarly, though prefer the undrizzled version throughout other than nicer star morphology n the beginning of the drizzled version.
