Description

Hu 2 is a small, faint elliptical planetary nebula in Cassiopeia.

I could find almost nothing about this PN except that it was discovered by Laurent Huet, a French amateur astronomer, from his own Ha and OIII images. He is credited with discovering 4 planetary nebula candidates. Hu 2 was confirmed as a PN in 2016 by Pascal Le Dû. [1]

Searching for Hu 2 is complicated by the presence of the discoveries of Milton Lasell Humason, at the Mount WIlson Observatory, among these being PNs Hu 1-1 and Hu 1-2
