Description

When I last attempted this dynamic duo in 2020 the resulting squid was extremely faint, which surprised me because I was using a fast scope and collected a good amount of data. I suspected the OIII signal was being choked off by the combination of f/3.9 focal ratio and 3 nm bandpass. This time, I used a 5 nm OIII filter and a more moderate f/6 focal ratio. The squid is much more prominent in the new image, which is presented as HOO with RGB stars, but remains a daunting target. Thanks for looking.
