Description

Hot moonlit nights that strain the cooler and narrow the window to get good data. Such is the life of an astrophotographer imaging in the Valley in the summer. Despite all those factors, I was able to produce this image of Sh2-112. I added Ha and SII to the red channels and OIII and a wisp of Ha to the blue channels, and then used the integrated narrowband as a synthetic luminance channel. Happily, BlurXterminator deconvoluted the stars blurred from the atmospheric heat turbulence and sharpened up some nebular details and this image emerged.

Thanks for looking and I hope your summer imaging is going well.

PS, Last year I was complaining about clouds and rain all summer. Maybe the lesson is just to enjoy whatever skies you can get!
