Description

Sharpless 2-274, Abell 21, Medusa nebula.
The nebula is a planetary nebula in the constellation Gemini, The Twins, about 1500 lightyears for us. This beautiful planetary nebula was  discovered by the astronomer George O. Abell in 1955

The image also contains the open cluster NGC 2395 and a few faint 15 magnitude galaxies, ("PGC" Principal Galaxies Catalogue, and "UGC" Uppsala general Catalogue of galaxies
