Description

I took eight videos of 900 frames each, used Autostakkert to identify the best frame in each and put these in eight Photoshop layers, aligned them, and cleaned up the result.

Each frame was taken at ISO 100 and 1-25sec. There was about a 15 minute gap between shots. The first was at 11:02am and the last one at 12:56pm. Trees, clouds, and interruptions kept me from recording the first half of the transit.

I did not use the 5x button in Planetary Mode of BackyardEOS. I had planned to use a 3x barlow, but this was a combination I had never used with the ZenithStar 71 and found that I couldn't reach focus without an extender. The 2x barlow from University Optics has a long barrel and I could slide it out sufficiently to reach focus.
