Description

I was curious about the relative distance and sizes (actual and apparent) of the two Dumbbells in the Messier catalog. Both objects were captured at same image scale (1.14arcsec/pixel) to build this composite. I welcome any feedback that would improve the utility and accuracy of the comparison. I'm undecided as to which size measurement would be best in the description text (radius, area, etc.) but went with the somewhat vague "ly across" for brevity.

Data for the images was collected in my suburban backyard under Bortle 6/7 skies with high humidity (i.e. pretty crappy conditions for imaging). The Optolong L-enhance dual narrowband filter was used to combat light pollution.
