Description

Jones-Emberson 1 (PK 164+31.1), also known as the Headphone Nebula, is a 14th magnitude planetary nebula in the constellation Lynx. It is approximately 1,600 light-years away from Earth and has a diameter of about 4 light-years. The nebula was discovered in 1939 by American astronomers Rebecca Jones and Richard M. It is a faint but quite large planetary nebula located between the constellations Ursa Major and Gemini.
