      Description

A 12 part  mosiac of a busy sun. AR3500 can be seen just before the M9.8 flare and solar storm launch the next day!
Shot with an H Alpha Solar filter on November 25th 2023. A large cluster of sunspots can be seen in the centre of the disk along with several long filaments, or solar storms.

When these filaments launch from the sun due to magnetic activity, they can cause Aurora, when they hit the Earth's magnetic shield in the proper orientation.
Sunspot regions 3490 and 3492 in the centre have had many flares and the very complex region 3500 in the lower left is a strong contender to launch an x-class flare.
Shot with a Starfield Optics 102 ED refractor, a quark Chromosphere solar filter and the ASI174MM planetary camera.
Images processed inverted and assembled in Photoshop
