Description

As I've been reading through my Bible these last few months, I came across the Pleiades mentioned twice in Job. It inspired me to image this messier object again while considering what God says here in Job 38:

“Can you bind the chains of the Pleiades?
    Can you loosen Orion’s belt?
Can you bring forth the constellations in their seasons
or lead out the Bear with its cubs?
Do you know the laws of the heavens?
Can you set up God’s dominion over the earth?"

To consider the majesty of His works, knowing He laid the foundations for it all and formed the very laws that the stars obey... Wow! The mighty hand of our Creator, what a marvelous thing to consider.

This time I captured the data using the redcat51/ed80 combo. The difficult task was doing this from the house which sits in a bortle 6 light pollution zone.. I initially thought the light pollution gradients were going to be the biggest problem... but alas, I also had to work through an internal reflection caused by the APEX reducer. Thankfully because I captured the all the data using two different telescopes, I was able to use the Redcat51 data as a reference in Normalize Scale Gradient. This rid the image of the internal reflections AND it also helped tremendously with the light pollution gradients. I plan on using this method in future projects. I would have never thought I could get this much dust from the house. I had to be a smudge heavy with noiseXterminator on the background dust so it lack apparent details but the overall structure is here which is great. I hope you like the image as much as I enjoyed capturing it.
