Description

M51 was one of the first galaxies I viewed back in the 80's and is one of my favorites. I was fortunate to get an unusually cool and clear night for May in Georgia, much better conditions than I had expected. Moon rise limited my exposure to just under two hours, but given the relatively high brightness of M51 I think it was just enough.
