Description

The process that I followed with Affinity Photo  involves using the landscape image and selecting the outline of the sky, then inverting to move the selection below  the landscape, then choosing mask, which masks out the sky. Then the image of the stars can be copied and pasted onto the image of the landscape. Then you need to drag the pixel layer of the stars below the layer of the landscape. In this way the stars will be positioned behind the landscape. You will then drag the stars to look good. Then you will need to adjust the lighting of each layer with separate adjustment layers. It can be found on a YT called How to Replace Skies in Affinity Photo.

The Milky Way has star trails. Sorry.
