Description

The Eagle Nebula (M16) hosts the famous "Pillars of Creation" as well as the "Spire". This is the first time I have tried to capture these two iconic formations in such detail. It may not be quite as good as the one taken by the Hubble space telescope, but I am pleased with it. This amazing nebula lies 5700 light years away in the Serpens constellation. The Spire itself is 9.5 light years long.
Enjoy!
