Description

This is the ever-beautiful Rosette Nebula, which resides some 1,500 light years from us, toward the constellation Monoceros.  I love how the hot, young stars in the center have carved out the hole with their stellar winds.  It almost reminds me of an "old fashioned" donut.  Or a skull.  Or a rose.

This is my first real attempt at making an HaRGB image.  I used the Optolong L-Pro for my RGB, then combined it with the red channel from the Antlia ALP-T filter.  The combo of the 268c and ALP-T is pretty sweet.  This image looks a little soft for my liking, but for my first attempt, I'm pretty happy with it.

I'm always open to critiques, and advice.  Thanks for stopping by!
