Description

Three Haiku I wrote about the moon:

Oh the moon so bright!
You ruin photography -
nebulae are gone.

How I hate you moon.
The deep sky can not be seen -
I will shoot the moon.

Nothing else to do.
Mineral moon photograph,
I hate the moon less.

Well the moon was out, clouds were going to roll in soon, so I decided to shoot the moon with my 4.5" refractor and ASI183mm Pro and RGB filters. I've always just done a monochrome moon in the past or used the ASI533mc, so using RGB filters for lunar imaging is new to me. The issue I encountered was that Autostakkert's stacks of each filter didn't line up exactly. They were warped slightly because of the way it stacks with alignment points. But I read on Cloudy Nights about some cool software called Planetary System LRGB Aligner. So I downloaded it and it worked like a charm to get all three RGB masters lined up.
