Description

Taken near the new Moon of August, this celestial citizen of the Milky Ways halo  is revisited to observe each season as it climbs to the Zenith hearlding the coming of Summer in the Southern  hemisphere. It's relatively close at 13000 light years  and has a diameter of 110 light years . Note the small galaxy cluster NGC6769, NGC6770 and NGC6771 at bottom  which is about 170 Million years distant.
