Description

Equipment:
* SkyWatcher EQ6-R Pro
* SkyWatcher Esprit 100 Triplet
* Canon T3i w/HA Mod
* Antlia ALP-T Filter
* 60mm SVBony Guide Scope.  SV305 Color Planetary Camera as guide camera

Acquisition:
* 108x180s lights
* 30xDarks, 30xFlats, 30xFlat-Darks

Processing:
* Stacked and processed in Pixinsight.
* Used StarNet2 so I could process the stars separate from the nebula.


This is such a cool target with all of those wispy fine details.

The Eastern Veil nebula is part of a larger complex referred to as the Cygnus Loop, the remnant of a supernova from a star ~20x as large as our sun.  Current estimates have it at 2400 light years away.  When this supernova happened, it would have been bright enough to be visible from earth during the day.
