Description

Aurora and Supermoon over Greenland.

I was starting to get worried that I would not have the time to see a proper display of the northern lights here in Maniitsoq as I am leaving on saturday morning. The last two months have been mostly cloudy, but luckily it was clear today. It has been great to be here in such unique place.

In the photo is the whale bone arch and the moon today is called blue supermoon because it is the second full moon of this month.

My brother will be meeting me in the city of Ilulissat and will bring my winter clothing that I left to Finland with him. We are planning to book some tours such as whale watching and kayakking. Hopefully the weather wont be rainy. I have a total of 4 days there and then I’ll be taking another ship to my next destination located further north here in Greenland. That place happens to be a small settlement of 100 people with bortle 1 skies.
