Description

The little planetary nebula M4-11 seems to be quite unknown in the astronomical community, since no photos of it can be found on the Internet. One can compare to the POSS II database only. It was not photographed by SDSS and not by any space telescope also.
Due to its small size of 29 x 26 arc seconds only, it requires a long focal length to show details. The image was taken by Markus Bütikofer at the 90cm telescope of the Mirasteilas observatory in Graubünden and processed by Michael Deyerler.
More details about the exposures and image processing can be found in revision D (German) and revision E (English).
