Description

M16 | The Eagle in SHO

This magnificent nebula was one of the hardest deep sky object I (somewhat) managed to capture so far. On the one hand it’s elevation at my latitude is only max. ~27 degrees and on the other hand I was only able to capture 2 hours of light per night, due to an unfortunate combination of trees and rooftops 🤪. In addition, turbulent atmosphere and windy nights did little to ease the capturing process!
Out of 19 hours of exposure only 12 hours are good enough for the final image.
The results, and the reward for all the sleepless nights, is a SHO Hubble palette(ish) image with natural star colors!

I hope you like the result, also I’m always happy for positive or (constructive) negative feedback 🫣😉!

Clear skies and stay save
