Here is a wide-ish field view of NGC 5033, the Waterbug Galaxy in Canes Venatici. It includes the Waterbug's neighbor, NGC 5005, and an array of other galaxies, some barely visible and not listed in the PGC (zoom in!). The Waterbug has a bright and active Seyfert nucleus, relatively dim arms, and a significant warp in the southern half of its disk. It lies between 38 to 60 million light years, according to Wikipedia. NGC 5005 has a bright nucleus and disk with many dust lanes. It lies around 65 million light years away. The two galaxies weakly interact, but haven't yet grown close enough to have tidal effects on each other. NGC 5002, the small galaxy in the upper left, is a Magellanic spiral galaxy, a type I had to look up. A Magellanic spiral has a single arm, and the name is taken from the Large Magellanic Cloud, which has only one arm.
I processed this image entirely in PixInsight. I changed my exposure times for this target halfway through data collection, so I integrated the two different exposures for each of LRGB separately and then combined them with HDR Combination. There was little visible difference before and after, but it didn't seem to hurt anything. My workflow generally followed the LRGB processes at
