Description

This is my second attempt at longer integration times of the Needle Galaxy.  Very few clear nights here in the NW US (Seattle area), so I take what I can get.  Over 55 subs taken this night, but with sky glow towards the city (west), and with an earlier dawn these days, I only managed to fine 19 subs as keepers.

I used Cuiv's YouTube tutorial, which in fact is using his Needle Galaxy image from Tokyo.  Carefully following his walk-through, I tried to mimic his workflow to learn some more techniques in PI.  This is the result, after some slight sharpening in PS, and using Topaz Denoise before producing this 8-bit JPG.

You'll notice I still have the star spikes - which I'm thinking is a reflection issue inside my baffle and/or picking up stray light on the OAG prism.  I will be trying some black paint (Sennelier 759 Noir de Mars) soon to try and eliminate these star spikes.

Comments welcome as usual!
