Description

I recently acquired a second hand Sharpstar 13028HNT and have been lucky enough to give it some decent first light recently.  Some Luminance of M13 can be found here

Since shooting a wide field Ha mosaic of this area here I've fallen into the trap of finding patterns and shapes.  In the upper central part of the image linked above, there is a patch of nebulosity that - to me - is a side profile of a wolf's head.  So, here is that patch of sky in more detail and with a SHO palette.

While the left of the image is quite diffuse, there is a lot of structure in the central area and more so on the right hand side.  The differing colour of blue/grey and brown/gold adding a depth in the channels of nebulosity.

Heading towards summer and astro dark is fading fast.  Some of the subs here were taken around this, but it still seemed pretty dark.  The SII subs were frustratingly cut short by cloud and I decided to shoot all the Ha again another night (and glad I did - it's better quality).

Thanks for looking.
