Description

I'm guessing that this starburst pattern is the result of humidity or ice (although it was early September) in the atmosphere.  I had never had a similar artifact appear in a picture before, and I haven't seen one since.  It only affected the brightest star.  In retrospect, 300 second subframes were probably excessive for this target.  If anyone can explain what caused this artifact, I'd be really interested in hearing it.
