Description

Creating an image by a combination of RGB data from an OSC camera (Bayer matrix) with luminance data from a mono camera was a bit more difficult than expected.
As the FOV of OSC and mono imaging train turned out to have a slightly different orientation the image needed to be cropped, but even worse I realized that the orientation of the star spikes in the images was different and did not line up on the registered images.
To solve the issue I made a compromise and created an enhanced luminance image by a blend of the starless mono data and the luminance data from RGB. The result is fine, thanks to the new versions of the star removal tools which can remove the stars and the star spikes perfectly.

When using the DarkStructureEnhance script in Pixinsight I found it hard to integrate into the processing icon set as it can't store it's settings. So I created my own version and added the "new instance" button which allows to store the actual settings of the script in a desktop icon (drag and drop the triangular button on the PI desktop):
